The way to bring back the economy is not continuing growth.

It's to shift the economy from the wealthy to the working class.

The stock market is an extortion racket.... They funneled money into food and fuel commodities which caused the inflation like they did with housing CDOs 2 decades ago and somehow people didn't see the meteoric rise in housing as inflation until now?

Dumb

Elon musk is deep state like the rest. Censorship is still going on and shadow banning is widespread. I don't understand how people are falling for this guy who still promotes electric car bullshit with the asshole posts he made about lithium "we will coup whoever we want".

The Twitter files were a limited hangout and they supplied no source documents. WTF is journalism by screenshots? Taibbi still makes fun of those who doubt the 911 story... Makes sense why he was picked, and Bari Weiss... A propagandist through her whole career. I'm not sure about shellenberger, he seems fine...

Also, I really don't think Trump is going to change shit.

He had chances before and kept the swamp full....

Nowadays he's got RFK Jr, but last time Trump ended up listening to Bill Gates and denied Kennedy access to the vaccine safety database.

Also, Trump still talks like the COVID vaccines are good. WTF?

Notice how all the cases against Trump were trumped up bullshit, not the actual issues. They did the same thing when they went after Clinton. Trump didn't lock up Hillary either, he basically said what Obama said about why he didn't go after Bush.... Pfft

I hope I'm proven wrong and things get better but I'm not smoking that hopium!

Agreed. 7% growth for ten years? Not gonna happen. We'll be lucky if the economy shrinks at that rate and doesn't collapse altogether.

When I think of economic growth in money, there's a funny point that Keynes made.

If you pay someone to dig a hole and someone else to dig it, GDP goes up for both. That's counted as growth 😂.

He thought it was a good thing, but both jobs are bullshit.

This economy can serve us better if we stopped looking for this bullshit growth and spent money on needs instead of gambling on more business and having to compete in many already saturated and/or monopolized markets.

LOL! That's what happens when you pay glorified sociologists - aka "economists" - to use physics equations. Basically, children playing with matches. What could possibly go wrong?

Lol yeah, equations based on assumptions...

Oh wait, physics does it too! 😂

Dark Winter narrative is winding down now with some of the key players being sidelined. Cyber Polygon may come into play at some point as a contingency to preempt the surplus energy, debt and complexity death spiral. Strategic philanthropists are shifting to AI, data centers and nuclear power presumably to ensure the development of a digital panopticon. The kayfabe appears to be shifting from the Covid + War energy and financial reset to Drill Baby Drill with an ongoing planned Degrowth test in the EU and what I see as the next phase of the long emergency, a showdown over Arctic resources.

Expand full comment

If you think about it, the energy, debt, and complexity comes from the military industrial complex itself. They are the biggest polluter, use of funds, and create havoc everywhere.

David Graeber would call war a bullshit job, where when you add up all of the costs, very little good is accomplished and a lot of money is legally laundered into the hands of the political and economic inbrsds.

The Federal Reserve printed nearly $5 Trillion out of thin air to support Government stupidity/greed during the Covid Scam. And all other Western Central Banks followed suit. Also the shutting down of Small Business restricted supply lines in production and distribution, increasing costs at the retail level along with scarcity.

THAT IS THE ONLY REASON(S) WE HAVE GENERAL INFLATION.

TRUMP? Let's hope he has learned some lessons. The Senate needs some clarity. And the House needs to be won.

That money went into gambling on commodities, like in the past where gas prices were at their absolute highest, during Bush Jr ($5 a gallon at the time which is about 8-10 a gallon today, much more than our recent highs).

The problem is financialization. This is also what caused housing to climb at a ridiculous manner for 2+decades ....

So glad you’ve got Elizabeth Nickson on. Some of the links in my last Substack lead to other sources corroborating much of her work. The connections between powerful political figures and the Cartel del Sol in Venezuela explains a lot, particularly about the Biden Harris border policy.

Hello John G. Coster. I just read your substack on N.C, where you suggested exactly what Elizabeth Nickson said about Harris being an MK victim. I couldn't leave a comment there. I will be following you now!

The Science Fiction movie "Serenity" is basically a story of MKultra after a few hundred more years of development. Ignore some of the scientific incongruities.

+10 for Serenity shoutout. Bigtime Firefly fan here.

I loved, loved hearing Elizabeth Nickson’s voice. I’ve recently found her Substack blog and read every word she writes. Thank you for featuring her. Many more people need to know her.

A very depressing, distressing interview! Toward the end Ms. Nickson laid out the whole fabric of repression being enacted internationally. Not just in North America. These evil people have been systematically inserted into governments across the spectrum of Western Civ.

Jim, as you often mention, "I am allergic to conspiracy theories". Well this information which Ms. Nickson described certainly poses you a problem. If this thing is not a conspiracy then the word has no meaning. How else to understand what has happened?

It's seems obvious to me that the controllers of this "project" have the goal of impoverishing whole populations. They move in, take over a country's government, and then begin to SYSTEMATICALLY destroy it. Especially economically.

For a rich country like Canada to be reduced to a choice between food and a roof over their head, with no reason for this having happened, should penetrate into the most obdurate mind.

I’m about halfway thru the podcast. Fascinating on the whole, and my ears perked up when Nickson mentioned a recent election here in Canada being sus. That would be my province, which I think she lives in as well. Things are not great economically here, but it is o n the whole not as dire as she portrays. Food and utilities are both expensive, but most of us can pay for both. Saving is another matter.

Great interview. Here’s the link to the article by Celia Farber that was mentioned: https://open.substack.com/pub/celiafarber/p/we-have-won-the-culture-war-it-was?r=4m0y9a&utm_medium=ios

I appreciated the way she shared how the crowds moved her: “Millions of people who love their country, who want to live in dignity again, after being ritually humiliated, degraded, and deprived of all forms of life and liberty for decades.”

Jim, kudos for having Elizabeth Nickson as a guest! She's such a great writer. I look forward to future discussions between the two of you, hopefully as both our nations adjudicate the b.s. we've had to endure.

To Elizabeth Nickson, a brilliant writer and analyst, paraphrasing this, you asked the deepest mostly profoundly unanswered question — what is it about these older women that pre-disposes them to radical leftism? I often ask myself how I escaped this evil mindset, and I did, mostly because I got to experience totalitarian communist government on a month-long holiday to the Soviet Union. I am eternally grateful for that experience as it woke me up from my soft headed leftism.

Excellent guest, pretty much covered everything that needed to be covered. My only complaint is the shrillness of the entry/exit music, had to cover my ears, eeek.
